2012 Conference

GEO organized a Conference and Exhibition on “The Role of Private & Public Sector in Development, Environment and Sustainability” under the theme – Evaluation of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) & Projects on 12-14 November 2012, at Crowne Plaza Hotel, Kuwait. The conference was held under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamed Al-Sabah (Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait)

The Conference covered most of the aspects related to the environmental issues, impact assessment and sustainable development, methods of environmental monitoring, mitigation and control measures, environmental risk, rehabilitation health and safety, and environmental authorities, legislations and standards. It brought together scientists, professionals, research scholars, environmentalist, managers, engineers, contractors, planners, policy makers at the local, regional and national levels.

The conference was a very productive dialogue and a successful outcome of our deliberations to promote synergy between the private and public sector and the environment.
